OK its quite a mouthful, but its pretty simple: that headphone or microphone jack you know and love? (OK everyone but you, Tim Cook!) Now you can attach it onto a box or panel with the socket-side of this cable, and plug in the plug part into your device.

Use with any box/panel up to 0.1" thick, with a ~0.25" diameter drill hole.
