NMEA 2000 Mini-C 7/8 to Micro-C M12 Cable Adapter. There are two types of cables in N2K networks: trunk cable and drop cable. Each cable uses different wire gauges for the various signal lines. The Mini-Change 7/8 connector is used on the thick backbones heavy cable, while the Micro-Change M12 connector is used on the thin backbones light cable.

Introduction:

NMEA 2000 Mini-C 7/8 to Micro-C M12 Cable Adapter. In NMEA 2000 (N2K) networks, there are two types of cables: trunk cable and drop cable. Each cable uses different wire gauges for the various signal lines. The Mini-Change 7/8 connector is used on the high-duty backbone cable, while the Micro-Change M12 connector is used on the low-duty backbone cable. The "Mini" size can carry a rated current of 8A and the "Micro" size can carry a rated current of 4A. Premier Cable P/N: PCM-S-0405
