Reduce your NMEA 2000 cabling requirements, saving time, space and money.
It makes it easier to reach up to four devices with a single drop cable. Reduces Drop cable lengths and the number of T connectors needed.
In an NMEA2000 Network, the drop cables must not be extended more than 6m. Using the 4-way drop can greatly reduce the need for multiple T-connectors and drop cables from device that are clustered in areas such as, consoles, mast brackets and coach-roofs.
Typically, when four devices need to be connected to an NMEA 2000 backbone located at a distance, a lengthy drop cable and T-piece are required for each device.
This can either mean excessive cabling demands or moving the backbone closer to your devices.
The 4-way drop makes it possible to reduce the length of each drop cable needed before reaching a T-piece.
