Embedded platforms, including the FRC-EP190, have been used in a variety of proven applications, all in multiple automotive bus systems with one device and its own computer power supply. Here, it is only necessary to install the device or data simulation and visualization in the PC. Relevant intelligence, such as processing transport protocols, is available on the embedded platform. The intelligent platform has a very powerful microprocessor and uses a real-time operating system. This allows the setup of stand-alone applications, such as automotive bus systems that can be connected to multiple vehicles through a gateway without the need for a control computer. The relevant functionality can be activated on the device through the appropriate runtime license agreement.
