7/8" DeviceNet Double Ended Cable , Has a straight male 5 pin to female 5 pin body. Cable properties are PVC Gray, 2x15 awg & 2x18 awg with shielding, 80 C, 600 volt rated, DeviceNet is a fieldbus standard used in automation technology. It was developed by Allen-Bradley Company in the United States in 1994. DeviceNet uses Controller Area Network (CAN) as its underlying communication protocol, and its application layer has profiles defined for different devices. Major applications include information exchange, safety equipment and large-scale control systems. It has a relatively high market share in the United States. The DeviceNet network uses a trunkline-dropline network topology, allowing the use of taps in the network, which on the one hand simplifies wiring and access to the network. Moreover, it is very simple to add or remove devices from the network, reducing production line downtime and debugging time, and improving network flexibility. DeviceNet provides three different data transmission speeds of 125 kbit/s, 250 kbit/s and 500 kbit/s. Depending on the type of communication line used, the length of the communication line allowed by DeviceNet is also different. If a round thick cable is used, the length of the communication line can be up to 500 meters. The length of the general round cable can be up to 100 meters. The length of the flat cable can be up to 100 meters. When the bit rate is 125 kbit/s, it can reach 380 meters, and when it is 500 kbit/s, it can only reach 75 meters.
